Today is 13th of February 2006. The 70th birthday of my respectable teacher, Mr Lee Han Seng. He was my primary 6 chinese teacher in 1993. Although we'd been together only for a year, but the knowledge he gave us was something we, class 6K of SRJK(C) Bukit Beruang, treasured the most.
I still could recall the first day he came in our class early that morning. We were all so excited as we'll be having our new teacher. But to be honestly, when he stepped into our dirty class room, we were all had the greatest shock of our life (well not life, it should our school days). Why? Because he was a teacher who is in his late 50. With a thick glasses, a good boy kind of haircut, wrinkly face, carrying some old books and a wooden ruler, he didn't look at us at all. After putting down the books n the ruler, he grabbed a chalk and straight away have his name written on the blackboard. At that moment, I, who sit in the front row, can see transparently clear his whole figure. From hair to his shoes. He has the haircut like those soldiers in the combat movie had. But that's not what I see. What i saw is like those old Taiwan's movies where those old teachers were like. Exactly the same scene. I was wondering if he's even came from Taiwan. Well, that was my first impression of him.
Throughout the whole year, not only we learned lots of things, but we also had lots of fun stuff together. He was the first teacher to gave us all sorts of method of learning. Trust me, he got lots of methods. He also gave us informations which was not from our studies, like all kinds of phone numbers which will be useful to us when something happens. He's also the first teacher to take us out for an outting. The destination was the craziest of all, which we didn't even think of, that is the big mountain behind our school. That was the time we had the greatest time of all. He even made up a song for us to sing while we pushed ourselves up into the mountain. Wish I could have that chance again. Apart from that, he also teached us to dance. Not just any dance, it was a China's natives dance, which he learned when he visited China.
The last day at school, one of my friend couldn't hold her feelings, burst into tears. We have to seperate with our beloved teacher. Well to me, it's not farewell yet. We still be seeing him if we visit him. But the crying just made our tears flowed.
Now, every Chinese New Year, I'll be visiting him. That's the only chance I get to see him. But these 2 years, I failed to do so because of my job. I felt so sorry and sad. What I can do now is to pray for him. Hope he will have a healthy, longevity life.
Happy Birthday, Mr Lee!

the Fifteenth's night
12th February(which is 15th in chinese calendar), Chinese New Year ends. All of the family members will gather once more to have a nice dinner. After this, everyone will go back to their daily works. Some will fly far far away to earn a living. So this night is very important.
Apart from this gathering, another event will be held during this lovely night. According to tradition, this day is also the chinese's Valentine's Day. In history, boys n girls who wish to find their life partners, they should go to the river. Girls will be on the bridge with oranges, boys will be in their row boats on the river. And when the time is right, the girls will toss the oranges into the river and the boys will try to catch them. so whoever catches the girls' oranges, they will have a try out to see if they were good together for each other. Well that's about the final day of Chinese New Year. Although there's not much of us do that anymore, but that doens't mean there's no one will do that. Just keep your eyes on those rivers or beaches, you may find some oranges there.
That's all for this morning. Have a nice day.

Make it double V.K.
"Yo yo hear me say
open ur eyes believe it today
for this will change ur life
for u to make the dive
there'll be no time for u to sigh
no way to fly
cos they are double V.K.
so watch out for their roaring day
and they are coming your way. . . . . ."
How's that? Nice? Silly?.... hehe..... just something I made it up for the first time. This is for a new blog member, Valviv. They just started their post yesterday. So this is like a welcoming poem specially made for them. It's not the best, but it'll do just fine. Go and check their blog out, http://chiapengkoh.blogspot.com
My wish for them is no matter what obstacles stand in front of them, they will face it with their true heart and fight it till they see the light, never give up

Starting to get the feel......

Well, actually finished this drawing weeks ago. Now got nothing to do, so decided to post it here.
I use a software call Open Canvas ver 1.1. This software was given to me by a friend from US. She is such a nice girl. She inspired me a lot though we never met before. Her name is Iliana. She's a great painter. You should check out her works, http://daliflores.deviantart.com
This drawing took me about 4 to 5 hours, seperated into 2 days of works. At first I didn't know what to draw, but after moving my hand here and there, I started to get the feel. So this is the result. Not that satisfied though cos it came out of nowhere and not through my skill and mind. Oh well, just have to keep on practicing.
Well, I guess I'll be posting some more of my stuff here in time. See you soon...

First step.....
In memory, our family's old home.... Hi, well here I am. My first blog and first post. Dozo yoroshiku...
Before I continue, I would like to wish all a very Happy belated New Year. Hopefully this year there will be no more war, no more natural disaster occur, no more unnecessary death, the accidents toll will be lower, no more rapping, no more killing (kind of too much huh...), most importantly good health to all and everything will go well as planned.
2005 is already gone. Time really flies huh.... 2006 is here, and if we didn't appreciate every minute, every second, then we will be wasting our time in this world. Our time is so short. I am 25 this year, but still felt like I was only 10 yesterday. I'd wasted so many time and didn't do anything that would really proof that I'm worth to be a part of this world. Didn't do anything that make my family proud. Instead, I am like a parachite, always stealing resources from the old tree.
Hence, this year I have to change. Change my attitude, my bad habits, my image, gonna open my mind to new things, gonna make my family proud, let my parent have a greater life. I'm gonna work hard, earn more income. Gave my parent a vacation. That's what I'm gonna do......
Last but not least, I would like to thank you all for visiting my blog. Hopefully this year will be a good year for all of you.
Thank You.
Bong.
